Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how Mile Pace Calculator (https://milepacecalculator.com) handles information when you use our running calculators, save records in My Mile, browse the website, or contact us. It also explains the browser storage, cookies, hosting services, and other technologies involved in operating the website.
Calculator inputs and results
Our running calculators perform their calculations in your browser. You can use the calculators without creating an account or submitting personal information.
The numbers you enter and the results calculated from them are not automatically submitted to a Mile Pace Calculator user-account database. If you choose to save a result using My Mile, that information is stored locally in your browser, as explained below.
Some tools allow you to copy results or create a shareable link containing calculation settings. Anyone who receives that link may be able to see the information included in it. Shared URLs may also appear in browser history, server request logs, or other services through which the link is shared. Review a link before sharing it publicly.
My Mile records stay in your browser
My Mile is a browser-based record book that allows you to save running calculator results, completed activities, dates, notes, and other details you choose to enter.
These records are stored using your browser’s local storage for milepacecalculator.com. My Mile does not automatically upload your records to an online account or synchronize them between your devices.
Other people using the same browser profile on your device may be able to access your saved records. Avoid entering passwords, private medical information, or other sensitive details into notes. A shared computer is not a suitable place to keep a private running record book.
You can edit saved records, move them to Recently Deleted, restore them where available, or permanently delete them using My Mile. Clearing your browser’s website data can also erase these records, sometimes without an option to recover them.
My Mile offers JSON backup and import features, allowing you to keep or transfer your records yourself. CSV export is available for a readable spreadsheet summary. Exported files may contain dates, notes, running history, calculation inputs, and results, so store them securely.
Moving to another device, browser, or website domain does not automatically transfer locally saved records. You must export and import them yourself. Mile Pace Calculator cannot remotely retrieve or restore records that exist only in your browser.
Theme preferences and cookies
The website’s light and dark theme control uses local browser storage to remember your selected appearance. You can remove this preference by clearing this website’s stored data in your browser.
WordPress uses cookies for administrator login sessions and related administration functions. These functions are separate from the public running calculators, which do not require visitors to register or sign in.
Our hosting, caching, content delivery, and security infrastructure may also use cookies or other technical mechanisms where necessary to deliver and protect the website.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking or deleting website storage may affect theme preferences, My Mile records, or other features that rely on local browser data.
Website hosting and service providers
Mile Pace Calculator is hosted by Hostinger. We use its hosting infrastructure and available website delivery, caching, SSL, and security services to operate and protect the website.
When you visit the website, Hostinger and the infrastructure involved in delivering the site may process technical information such as your IP address, requested page URLs, browser information, device-related information, and request timestamps.
This information may be used for website delivery, security monitoring, troubleshooting, service reliability, and performance measurement. Hosting providers may maintain technical access logs and related operational records under their own retention and processing arrangements.
Hostinger’s infrastructure and service providers may process information in locations outside your country. You can consult Hostinger’s published privacy documentation for additional information about its data-handling practices.
Website analytics and Google Analytics 4
Mile Pace Calculator may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the website and identify opportunities to improve our calculators, content, navigation, and overall user experience.
When enabled, Google Analytics may collect information such as pages visited, approximate geographic location, browser and device characteristics, referral sources, session activity, and interactions with website features. We may also configure events to measure how visitors interact with our running calculators and other tools.
Google Analytics 4 may use first-party cookies, including cookies beginning with _ga, to distinguish visitors and sessions and measure website activity. These cookies can contain pseudonymous identifiers. Google may process IP addresses during data collection to determine approximate geographic information, although Google states that GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses.
Analytics information is transmitted to Google for processing and may be processed on servers outside your country. Google handles this information according to its applicable policies and service terms.
Our intended analytics configuration is designed to measure website usage rather than identify individual visitors. We do not intend to send names, email addresses, private My Mile notes, or other directly identifying personal information to Google Analytics. My Mile records remain stored in your browser and are not automatically synchronized with an analytics account.
You can restrict or delete analytics cookies through your browser settings. Google also provides a browser add-on that can prevent your activity from being made available to Google Analytics. You can find it at Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
For more information about Google’s processing practices, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Where applicable privacy laws require consent for analytics cookies or similar technologies, we will implement appropriate consent controls before enabling the relevant tracking. The availability and behavior of analytics features may depend on your browser settings and privacy choices.
Contact emails and correspondence
You can contact us at contact@milepacecalculator.com.
Our business mailbox is provided through Hostinger Email. When you send us an email, your email provider and Hostinger may process information needed to send, receive, store, and deliver the message.
We receive the information you choose to include in your message, such as your email address, name if provided, message content, attachments, and related correspondence.
We use this information to answer questions, investigate calculator problems, review content corrections, and respond to other legitimate website inquiries.
Correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the inquiry and maintain relevant records, or longer where required by applicable law. You can contact us to request deletion of correspondence, subject to any applicable retention obligations.
Please do not send passwords, medical records, highly sensitive personal information, or your complete private running history. We do not provide individualized medical consultations through our contact email.
External websites and links
Some pages link to race organizers, official results, running resources, research publications, and other third-party websites.
These websites operate independently and may collect information under their own privacy policies. When you follow an external link, the destination website may receive technical connection information and information normally shared by your browser.
Our links to external resources do not automatically create an account with those services. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of third-party websites before providing personal information.
Your choices and requests
You can use the running calculators without saving a My Mile record. If you choose to save records, you can manage, export, edit, restore, or delete them through the My Mile interface.
You can also clear locally stored website information using your browser’s settings. Because My Mile records are stored in your browser rather than in a remote user account, we generally cannot access, recover, or delete those browser-only records on your behalf.
You may contact us to ask questions about information you have shared through email or other website correspondence, including requests for access, correction, or deletion where applicable.
Your rights concerning personal information depend on the applicable privacy laws and the circumstances in which information is processed. We will review requests in accordance with applicable requirements.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when website functionality, service providers, analytics arrangements, or information-handling practices change.
When we make changes, we will update the revision date shown at the beginning of this page. We encourage visitors to review this policy periodically.
